Residential Lighting Projects
One of the first things is knowing where to start! The client may, or may not have some likes or dislikes. If they do, that’s a great start. If they don’t, then you really need to put a broad range of pictures under their nose and see how they react to each one.
Then we can begin to think about selecting luminaires and the lighting design.
The longer the project timescale, the better decision the client can make. If it all has to be done in a week or so, then there hasn’t been much time for the client to ‘mull over’ the options.
It’s a good job we have plenty of time for the project we looked at this week. It includes an Atrium with stairs and floors made completely from glass, with minimal steel work. It’s a lighting designers’ dream/nightmare!
